Welcome readers and fans of regency period drama and romance themed novels. I am pleased to introduce you to my writing, which began with posts tailored to fit Instagram word limitations in 2020 when I wrote a screenplay outline for Jane Austen’s unfinished “Sanditon”. I followed that up with a book, "Sanditon on Reflection" published in 2021 which also was published in an Italian version entitled "Ricordi di Sanditon" in December 2023 by Vintage Editore of Bari, Italy. My new book, “Mr Darcy - Through the Looking Glass”, delves into the minds and thoughts of Mr Darcy, Miss Elizabeth Bennet and others and reveals what I imagined they might have written in their diaries; where deepest secrets could be written, where the puzzles of life and love could be explored, where heartbreak could be accepted, where the agitated spirit could be calmed and where loss could be assuaged through hope. The book is based on Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” and is dedicated to her in celebration of the 250th anniversary of her birth. The book release date is January 20, 2026 in e-book version. The hardcover will release on Valentine’s Day. I hope you enjoy this website where you will find information about my writing through links to various sites featuring reviews, posts on various platforms and my youtube account where you can find more about my books. I would also mention that the cover and interior artwork of my books are the creation of a fabulous artist from the Netherlands, Marjan de Jonge. Thank you for your interest. D B Thomas —

Dear Mr. Thomas,
My name is Linda Johnson, and I represent Manhattan Book Club, an international community of readers who appreciate thoughtful, imaginative, and character-driven storytelling.
I recently came across your book, *Mr Darcy Through the Looking Glass*, and was truly captivated by your creative approach to revisiting the world of Pride and Prejudice. Exploring beloved characters through their diaries offers a deeply intimate and reflective perspective, allowing readers to connect with their inner thoughts, emotions, and untold stories in a meaningful way.
Your interpretation of Mr Darcy, particularly the idea of love discovered before it is fully understood, alongside themes of memory, loss, and personal struggle, creates a rich and engaging narrative that strongly resonates with readers who enjoy literary fiction and classic reimaginings.
We would be delighted to feature you as a guest author through an Author Spotlight, where you can share your inspiration, discuss your creative process, and connect directly with our engaged audience of readers. This also provides a wonderful opportunity to introduce your work to fans of classic literature and character-driven storytelling.
The session can be a short virtual conversation or Q and A, depending on your preference, and we are happy to work around your schedule to ensure a convenient and enjoyable experience.
Please let me know if this is something you would be open to. I would be glad to share more details.
Warm regards,
Linda Johnson,
Manhattan Book Club.
